Dorothy H. (Freer) Hande

Dorothy H. Hande, 92, of Paw Paw, passed away Saturday, December 29, 2018 at Rose Arbor in Kalamazoo.
She was born November 12, 1926 in Chicago, to the late John and Margaret (Schuh) Freer. On January 9, 1951 in Paw Paw, she was united in marriage to Harold L. Hande, who preceded her in death June 9, 2018. She was a longtime member of Saint Mary Catholic Church in Paw Paw.
She is survived by her two sons, Mark Hande and Joseph (LuAnn) Hande; five daughters, Margaret Hande, Catherine Hande, Judith (Larry) Hande-Skutnick, Carolyn Hande and Barbara Hande; Four Grandchildren, Gayle, Amy, Chris and Jonathan; sister, Rosemary Kuivenhoven, along with five great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Dorothy was preceded in death by her grandson, David Hande, sister, Helen Palasinski and brother, John Freer.
The family will receive friends Wednesday, January 2, 2019 beginning at 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm. at the Adams Funeral Home, 502 West Michigan Ave, Paw Paw, where a Rosary service will commence at 7:30 p.m. Mass of Christian burial will follow on Thursday at 11:00 a.m. at Saint Mary Catholic Church, Paw Paw. Visitation will take place at church from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. Burial will conclude at Saint Mary Cemetery.
