John Gordon Forrest, 55, of South Haven, passed away Wednesday, December 19, 2018 at the Bronson Methodist Hospital in South Haven. He was born September 24, 1963 to Norvel and Ruth (Heide) Forrest in Kalamazoo. John worked as a tree climber and did forestry work for over 40 years.
He is preceded in death by his parents, sister – Judy Vigansky, and former spouse – Helen Mercado.
John is survived by his children – Tiffaney Forrest and Brian (Jessica) Forrest both of South Haven, grandchildren – Nevaeh Chapman, Tanner Forrest, Kaisyn Forrest, Adaline Austin, James Austin, Loa-lea, Christopher, Hannah, Liliana, Arloa, and another due in April, and siblings – Dorothy Forrest of Lacota, Sue (Dave) Bange of Pullman, Toni Lloyd of South Haven and Norman (Vicky) Forrest of Covert.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, December 29, from 2:00 to 3:00 at Life Bridge Church in South Haven.
