
Richard Lutton, age 86, of Three Oaks, died peacefully Friday, November 2, 2018 in his residence in the presence of his family.
Richard was born April 4, 1932 in Marion, Indiana to John and Mildred (Laine) Lutton. He married Barbara Preston on January 23, 1960 in East Peoria, Illinois. She survives.
Fondly known as Dick, he proudly served in the United States Army during the Korean War. He then worked for Caterpillar Tractor Company for 42 years until his retirement in 1993. Dick was an avid reader and enjoyed playing cards, especially Bridge with his wife Barbara. The most important part of Dick’s life was his family and he will always be remembered for his devotion to them.
Dick will be greatly missed by family and friends. He is survived by his wife of 58 years Barbara Lutton of Three Oaks; children Cindy (John) Gast of Bridgman, Mike (Diane) Lutton of Louisa, Virginia, and Dan Lutton of Three Oaks; Grandchildren Owen Gast of Bridgman, Katie (Tim) Cwalina of Charlottesville, Virginia, Duncan Gast of Bridgman, and Cooper Gast of Durham, North Carolina; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. He was preceded in death by his grandson Joshua Lutton.
Family and friends will gather Saturday, November 10, 2018 from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Pobocik Chapel Wagner Family Funerals, 106 Ash Street East, Three Oaks, Michigan 49128. A prayer and eulogy will be offered at 4:00 p.m.
