Eldonna Crockett Wehmann, 81, of Benton Harbor, passed away peacefully at the Royalton Manor Nursing Home on Thursday, October 18 with her loving family by her side.
Funeral services will be Tuesday, 1:00 pm at the Fairplain Chapel of Florin Funeral Service, 1053 E. Napier Ave, Benton Township with Pastor Billy Long of the Apostolic Tabernacle officiating. A 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm visitation on Monday will occur at the funeral home. Please send photos, stories and memories to www.florin.net .
Eldonna was born January 13, 1937 to Eldon G and Lila E. (Goldner) Green in Benton Harbor. She married Charles B Crockett on May 7, 1955 and lived happily until his death in 1982. She spent most of her time working and raising her 2 boys and married Joseph Wehmann in 1988. Joseph passed away in 2004. Eldonna worked as a shade maker at Lakeshore Studios for over 15 years where she retired. Cooking, especially breakfasts with all the trimmings, was one of her favorite things to do. She enjoyed listening to music, rock & roll and country often. Taking care of her children and grandchildren was her all time favorite pastime.
Eldonna leaves behind 2 sons, Michael (Denise) Crockett and Randy (Kristi) Crockett both of Benton Harbor. Additionally she had 2 step children, Joseph (Janet) Wehmann of Hartford and Anna Wehmann of Berrien Springs. She had 8 grandchildren Jennifer Crockett Snow, Rose Crockett, Brandy Pendleton, Conner Vladic, Joseph Wehmann Jr., Pamela Wehmann Jacko, Michael Spaulding, Jason Spaulding and 12 great grandchildren. Eldonna had a very special friend, Kay (Butch) Totzke, of Berrien Springs.
She was preceded in death by her parents, 3 brothers Ronald, Dewayne and Kenneth Green. Please send any memorials or contributions to donor’s choice.
