High Winds Causing Power Outages

High winds around southwest Michigan on Saturday have led to thousands of power outages and some roads to be temporarily blocked. As of early evening, Indiana Michigan Power was dealing with just under 27,000 outages. The high winds have knocked down tree branches throughout the region, leading to some parts of roads to be blocked while police, fire, and utility crews work to clear them. Police remind everyone to stay away from downed power lines and to report them to 911. You can stay on top of I&M power outages and also report outages at www.indianamichiganpower.com/outages.
