Angela J. Henderson

Angela Jeanette Henderson was born October 4, 1960 in Chicago, Illinois to Eleanor Bradley-Henderson and Ervin Lucas. Ms. Henderson passed away peacefully on September 28, 2018 at the age of 57.
Angela received her academic education in Chicago Heights, ILL. Once relocating to Benton Harbor in 1986 she continued to follow her aspirations and dream of being a beautician……a career she loved. Her desire to be self-sufficient included her employment as a Housekeeper in the hotel industry. These careers enabled her to retire and become the extra-ordinary Mother and Grandmother that she gave her all to and lovingly excelled in! Angela was an avid and successful roller skater and never missed a Sunday! Bingo was just a side-bar when it came to her enjoyment of her grandchildren and roller skating.
Angela accepted Christ at New Bethel Baptist Church under the leadership of the late Rev. Milton P. McAfee….serving in the culinary department.
Angela was preceded in death by her mother Eleanor; Sisters: Alesia Bradly, Pamela Henderson; Brother: Dwight Lucas; A grandmother, Penola Jackson.
Angela leaves to cherish her memories two daughters: Shamika Henderson and Sherrie Williams; Sons: Sherlon, D’Mario, Jermaine Brown, Galbert Williams, Julius Brown, Willie Nichols, and Richard Anderson; Her father Ervin Lucas, Danville, ILL; Grandchildren: Davion, Taleeyia, Da’Leon, Angela, Carleon, Sher’niyah, Loyalti, Luxuri, D’Mario, and D’Mari who were all her Benton Harbor Assistant Caregivers; and an extended list of grandchildren, Brothers: Kenneth Bradley, Johnnie Henderson, Johnathan Henderson, Allen, Kenny Lucas; Sister: Monica Henderson, Tasha Fleming, LaTonya Martin, Iris Lucas and Brenda Gray; a loving host of nieces, nephews and other family members that she loved
