Berrien County has a new judge. Governor Snyder has appointed Gordon Hosbein of St. Joseph to the 5th District Court, succeeding Judge Donna Howard. She resigned in late July after being appointed by the governor to the 2nd Circuit Court in Berrien County following the resignation of Judge John Donahue. Hosbein is coming to the bench in St. Joseph after serving as an assistant prosecuting attorney in Macomb County since 2008. He will serve the rest of Howard’s term through 2020, and is eligible to run for a full term in November of that year.
