Kim LaSata, a candidate in the Republican primary for the Michigan House in the 79th District, has received the endorsement of the Michigan Chamber of Commerce. The chamber, which represents business interests, released a list of 23 candidates it’s backing in various state House races this year. It says the ones it picked have “demonstrated a commitment to free enterprise and a sincere desire to make Michigan the best state in the country to live, work, raise a family or build a business.” LaSata says she’s honored to get the group’s backing. Also this week, she received an endorsement from Right to Life of Michigan. LaSata is one of four Republicans running in the August 2 primary to replace state Representative Al Pscholka. Also in the race are Ryan Arnt, Mary Brown, and Troy Rolling.
