
A safety initiative that encourages K-12 students to report harmful or illegal activities received over 2,000 tips in 2015. The Attorney General’s office and Michigan State Police say the OK2Say program got 2,165 tips in 30 categories, including: bullying; suicide threats; self-harm; and cyber bullying. The OK2Say website mi.gov/ok2say and hotline 1-855-5-OK2SAY, or 855-565-2729, allows students to anonymously report potentially harmful or illegal behavior. They can also text tips to OK2SAY. The OK2Say program is operated through a partnership between the Attorney General’s office, State Police, parents and community leaders. The initiative was launched in 2014.
