Eleven teams competed in the event and included some very creative beds and costumes. Jim Paul is the owner of the Benton Harbor Slumberland store and says they teamed up with the Rotary Club of St. Joseph and Benton Harbor and have mutual goals in raising money for needy children.
Bryan Tutton is with the Rotary Club of St. Joseph and Benton Harbor and is one of the organizers. He says some of the money raised goes to buying books for kids.
The winner of the race this year was Wightman and Associates. Saturday events include a Day on the Farm with a Petting Zoo, Farmer’s Market and live music.
