Police in Mattawan say that a Paw Paw man was killed on Thursday when he was struck by an Amtrak train. The 59 year old had been standing near the tracks around 9:45 AM when he stepped in front of the train. Police think it may have been suicide. No one on board the westbound train was injured, and it was back on its way by 11:00 AM. Mattawan police cleared the scene by about 11:30.
