State Police Reopen 1989 Missing Persons Case Of Douglas Man

A Douglas man who vanished in 1989 is again being actively sought by Michigan State Police. Investigators have reopened the missing persons case of Robert Villarreal, who has not been seen since May 18, 1989. At the time of his disappearance, he was 27 years old and was last seen sleeping on the couch at his mother’s house in Holland when she went to work. Police say he left his wallet, money and other items at his house in Douglas. Villarreal vanished without a trace 26 years ago, and he would be 53 now. Anyone with information on his disappearance is being asked to call Michigan State Police Detective Sergeant Matt Doan at the Wayland post at 269-792-2213.
