A man who was involved in a series of unarmed robberies in west Michigan and northern Indiana over an eight-day period earlier this month has been arrested. Witnesses and surveillance cameras linked Jacob Savickas to a series of hold-ups at gas stations, convenience stores, fast food franchises and banks from south of South Bend to north of Grand Rapids in late July and early August. He was arrested at a Grand Rapids hotel Wednesday by an FBI task force and the Kent County Sheriff’s Department.
