A Michigan Senate resolution seeking to establish the right to hunt and fish in the state constitution has the backing of Senator John Proos. He tells WSJM News hunting and fishing are traditions that deserve legal protection.
“The purpose of the constitutional amendment is to ensure that now and forevermore, the state of Michigan puts into its constitution that reminds everyone of that important right to hunt and to fish in our great state,” Proos said.
Proos says hunting and fishing pump billions into the Michigan economy each year. If the Senate resolution seeking the constitutional amendment receives two-thirds support in both the Senate and the House, it would be placed on the ballot for the people to decide in the next general election
