MI Getting Funds To Reduce Recidivism

Michigan is getting a share of funding as part of efforts by President Barack Obama’s administration to address poverty, crime and incarceration.
The U.S. Department of Labor says Friday that Goodwill of Greater Grand Rapids is getting $1.2 million and Goodwill Industries International, which serves the Detroit area as well as areas in several other states, is getting $4.5 million. Goals include curbing recidivism and boosting job training. In all, the Department of Labor says $64.5 million in grants is being awarded across the country.
