[VIDEO] Lake Michigan College Continues to Pursue Candidate for President

Robert Spohr is the frontrunner to be the next president of Lake Michigan College. At a Tuesday meeting, LMC Board of Trustees Vice President Dr. Michael Lindley said members have agreed to further pursue Spohr to be the replacement for the recently-fired Dr. Jennifer Spielvogel. Spohr came in second for the job in the last search, and Lindley says it was just barely, at that. He thinks Spohr could be a good fit.

“Right now he’s Plan A,” Lindley told WSJM News. “If for some reason we find he’s not a good fit, either from him or from us, then we’ll move on to Plan B.”

The board of trustees already vetted Spohr last time around, but will do so again, and also pay a visit to Montcalm Community College, where Spohr is the Vice President for Student and Academic Affairs. If the board decides to go in another direction, it could begin another national search. Or, Spohr could be picked by the end of June.
