A Paw Paw man is dead following a crash in Van Buren County Thursday evening. The Van Buren County Sheriff’s Department says it happened around 5:40 p.m. on County Road 652 and 44th Avenue in Almena Township. 18-year-old Riley Manning’s vehicle was struck by a mini-van driven by a 44-year-old Decatur woman who police say rolled through a stop sign. Manning’s car was then pinned against a tree. He was pronounced dead at the scene. The other driver was taken to Bronson Lakeview Hospital with back and neck injuries, while her 3 children were not hurt. Police are still investigating the crash, and say the report will be turned over to the Van Buren County Prosecutor’s office for possible charges.
