South Haven Health System is forming a partnership with Bronson Healthcare. The SHHS Board of Trustees announced Tuesday it’s beginning the process of working out with Brosnon how that arrangement will work, with Chair Dennis Palgen saying the partnership will “provide additional access to Bronson’s advanced diagnostics, specialty care and resources to better serve our patients.” In January, South Haven Health System announced it was seeking a partner to improve local care, and in April, the interviews with Bronson began. In the coming months, a public vote will be needed to remove South Haven Health System from the hospital authority, and if the ballot request is approved, citizens in the communities that make up the authority will no longer have to pay taxes to support SHHS.
