An arrest has been made in a series of car break-ins in Saint Joseph Township. Police say one suspect was picked up after a foot chase with officers around 3:30 am Tuesday in the 100 block of Hunter, in the Fairplain area. A resident reported seeing a suspicious person in a private yard. Saint Joseph Township Police say there has been a rash of car break-ins around Fairplain over the past two and a half months. It’s not known how many such crimes the suspect arrested on Tuesday was behind. Police are still preparing charges, and the suspect’s name has not yet been released. Police remind everyone to lock their cars at night, and not leave any valuables in plain view.
