A Three Oaks man is facing charges following a drug raid by the Southwest Enforcement Team Tuesday. Michigan State Police say officers searched a home in the township after neighbors reported a strong marijuana smell. Inside, they say they found an illegal marijuana growing operation. The suspect, 59 year old Richard Lee Remus, arrived at the scene while the search was ongoing, and he was arrested. Police say they found marijuana plants, processed marijuana, Butane Honey Oil, and THC tea, along with a handgun, a Russian-made rifle, and a large stash of ammunition hidden behind a false wall. Remus was taken to the Berrien County Jail.
