Benton Harbor Schools To Collect Water For Flint

Benton Harbor Area Schools is launching a water drive to help the people of Flint. The district says students were inspired during the recent Martin Luther King Junior week as they discussed community service, specifically being moved by King’s quote, “Life’s most urgent question is: What are you doing for others?” So, they’re now collecting water. You can drop off donations of bottled water to schools in the Benton Harbor district, or at the central administration building through Friday, February fifth. The donations will be accepted during school hours, or from four to six pm each day at each school. The donation drive is the work of students in the 21st Century Community Learning Centers after School Program, who are heading up the effort.
