Bridgman, Berrien Springs Schools Collecting Water For Flint

You can help the people of Flint get fresh and clean bottled water. Cases of bottled water will be accepted as the price of admission for three athletic events this weekend at Bridgman High School, and fans of opposing schools are being encouraged to donate water as well. In Berrien Springs, a case of water will equal one free admission to the girls’ basketball game tonight or the boys’ basketball game tomorrow. If you don’t have a case of bottled water, cash donations will be accepted. The two schools join St. Joseph Public Schools in collecting water to help residents in Flint, whose water has been poisoned by lead leached from old pipes as a result of the city pulling drinking water from the corrosive Flint River for more than a year.
