A South Haven woman is free on bond from the Livingston County Jail after being arrested this week on drunk driving and child endangerment charges. 31-year-old Tatum Vaneizenga had a .355 blood alcohol level when tested at the jail. She was found passed out in the middle of the road on the ramp from I-96 to M-59 in Howell. Her two-year-old son and five-month-old daughter were in car seats in the back. They have been placed into protective custody. Police bought diapers and formula for the baby out of their own pocket when they realized there were no supplies for the children in the car. Vaneizenga is charged under the state’s “super drunk” driving law, with harsher penalties for anyone with a blood-alcohol level over double the legal limit. She was nearly four-and-a-half times over that level.
