A distracted driver is the cause of a crash this morning between a School Bus and a minivan. WSJM has learned that the driver of the minivan, 38-year-old Alex Dudley from the Dowagiac area, was distracted by his children in the back seat when he pulled into the path of a Hartford School bus. The accident happened at the intersection of County Road 681 and Red Arrow Highway in Van Buren County. At the time of the crash, there was a Deputy in the immediate area who reported hearing the crash happen. None of the 23 passengers on the school bus were injured, nor the children in the minivan, but Dudley did receive injuries to his left arm and was transported to Bronson Lakeview Hospital in Paw Paw. The crash remains under investigation.
