Nearly 300 people attended the latest Lakeland Health Foundation Gala this month, raising over 105 thousand dollars for the organization. Foundation Donor Relations Coordinator Maggie Smith says it was a record breaking fundraiser.

The theme this year for the gala was “Queen of Hearts,” which Lakeland says refers to the organization’s focus on cardiac health, as well as its “commitment to touching the hearts of patients, their family members, and the community.” Smith says the money collected will go toward future capital projects.
