Crews from Indiana Michigan Power were out and about throughout southwest Michigan on Thursday trying to make repairs to damage caused by high winds, and get everyone has their power back on. Spokesperson Erica Putt said they even brought in crews from the Muncie, Indiana area, where the damage was less extensive.

As of about five pm, there were still over a thousand Berrien County customers without power. Putt said the latest restoration estimate for many customers in southwest Michigan this evening is nine pm.
