MI Gas Prices Stable Despite Predictions

Gas prices in Michigan have not increased this week as much as analysts had expected. GasBuddy’s Patrick DeHaan says that almost half of the refineries in the Midwest are undergoing some kind of maintenance, causing big prices increases in several states…except Michigan.

DeHaan says that, at this rate, gas stations in Michigan are selling at a loss, so it’s only a matter of time before the price does go up. He can’t predict when that will be, but says there’s always tomorrow. Gas on Friday in Saint Joseph ranged from 2.37 a gallon to 2.43 a gallon. That’s compared to 2.47 a gallon statewide, and the national average of 2.32.
