Another car has been shot in Calhoun County, this time on M 66 between Battle Creek and Athens on Wednesday. Calhoun County Sheriff Matt Saxton says they have the best evidence to date with this week’s incident, which was the first confirmed shooting to not happen on Interstate 94 or I 69.

Saxton will not say what evidence they were able to collect, however. The bullet shot out the driver’s side window of an SUV, and the sheriff says they’ve been able to determine exactly where someone fired for the first time. It’s the fourth confirmed shooting in the area on the road in the past several months, and the first since early September. No one has been hurt in any of the shootings.
