No one was injured in a shooting incident in Cass County on Monday afternoon. The sheriffs department says that deputies were called to the scene around 4:20 pm on Twin Lakes Road in Wayne Township. They learned that 27 year old Roy Clark the Third, of Dowagiac, was at his father’s home when he spotted two men rolling his dad’s motorcycle out of the shed. Clark went outside to confront them, and one of the men pulled out a rifle and shot at him. Clark wasn’t hit, and the suspects — described as a thin white male, about six foot two with short brown hair, and a short Hispanic male with short brown hair, brown eyes, and glasses — ran off into the woods. A police helicopter from the Selfridge National Guard Air Base on the east side of the state was called in as police looked for the suspects, but they haven’t been found. However, police have recovered the gun. Anyone with information on the incident is asked to call the Cass County Sheriffs Department.
