Attendance at this years Berrien County Youth Fair was up a little from last year. Fair Director Karen Klug says that over 125 thousand people attended the event in Berrien Springs last week, while the fair had over 122 thousand visitors the previous year, making for an increase of just under two percent. She says that work is already underway for next year.
“Actually, sometimes during the fair, it starts for next year,” Klug told WSJM. “It’s because that’s the best time to actually look over how it’s working the current year, and try to take some notes for planning for next year.”
Klug says that the fair’s best day last week was Thursday, the day when Vince Gill performed, with over 23,800 people attending, and the rest of the week went well with pleasant weather. The slowest day was Monday, when it rained.
