Memorial services have been announced for a well known Watervliet police officer who passed away this week. Visitation for Officer Ken Gus Gustafson will take place this Sunday at Starks and Menchinger Funeral Home in St. Joseph. Gustafson was found dead in his home Wednesday. Early reports are that his death may have been related to heart issues. Friends say Gus was a well known and loved figure in law enforcement in the Watervliet-Coloma area since 1978. A Celebration of Life Service for Gustafson will take place Monday at Saron Lutheran Church in St. Joseph. He was 61-years old.
