Andrews University is searching for a new leader. President Niels-Erik Andreasen is retiring at the end of the coming academic year in June 2016. He has led the Berrien Springs university since 1994 and is the longest-serving president in the history of Andrews University. The Andrews University Board of Trustees has set up a search committee, which will begin meeting in September, and the plan is to have candidates identified for interviews by early next year. The final two candidates will be recommended to the board in March 2016. During Andreasen’s tenure, the university grew to over 7,000 students worldwide and over 3,400 on campus in southwest Michigan.
