If you don’t believe that things do happen in three’s, the Berrien Springs Oronoko Fire Department has proof that it does. Fire Chief Bruce Stover says two weeks ago, they received an Assistance of Firefighter’s grant for 29-thousand dollars. The money will be used to purchase 12 sets of new turnout gear for his firefighters. Then, earlier this week, voters approved a levy toward the purchase a new fire truck. The truck they will be replacing is 23-years-old. And yesterday, the Chief was notified of another grant.

Listen:

Its a 97-thousand-dollar grant which will cover recruitment, the cost of the firefighters to take training, the cost of their turnout gear and insurance costs.
