Voters in the Van Buren County communities that had elections on Tuesday appeared to be in a generous mood, as all of the ballot proposals up for consideration were approved. In Hartford Township, both a fire department equipment millage renewal and a road maintenance millage renewal got the green light. The votes were 63 to 30, and 61 to 32, respectively. Also Tuesday, in the Decatur school district, a 2.6 million dollar bond request was approved 524 to 222. The money generated from the bond will be used to purchase technology for the schools and make some building improvements.
