Paw Paw Man Rescued After Own Truck Runs Him Over

Quick thinking by another driver helped a 59-year-old Paw Paw man get out from underneath his own pickup truck on Saturday afternoon in Antwerp Township. The man had left his truck in reverse instead of park when he got out to get something from the bed of the pickup, and while he was behind it, the truck rolled over him and pinned him under the tires. The other driver stopped and drove the vehicle off of the man before Van Buren County Sheriff’s deputies and paramedics got to the scene. Those first responders treated him there, and he was taken to Borgess Hospital in Kalamazoo, where he was treated and released for pelvic and leg injuries. No names have been released.
