Farmers Markets Aim To Attract The Young

Michigan farmers markets aren’t just places to pick up produce and flowers. They can also be educational tools for kids, thanks to programs taking root across the state. Kaitlin Koch, with Michigan State University Extension, says parents can create farmers market adventures, encouraging kids to try new foods and helping them develop an “eat local” habit through weekly visits.
