MDOT Suspending Construction Projects This Weekend

The Michigan Department of Transportation is doing what it can to ensure that travel around the state’s roads is smooth this Fourth of July weekend by suspending as many construction projects as it can. Spokesperson Nick Schirripa says that there will only be two areas in Berrien County where construction could slow traffic a little.

Also, M-139 at Matthew Road in Niles Township will still be down to one lane with a temporary traffic signal in place. Schirripa says that you can get all of the state traffic information you need for the weekend at Michigan.gov/Drive. Or, you can download MDOT’s MiDrive app for iPhone or Android.
