Officials with New Buffalo Township this week will kick off a renovation project at the township hall with a wallbreaking ceremony. On Thursday, the 2.1 million dollar project will get underway when partners will gather at the hall on Red Arrow Highway at eleven AM. The work to renovate the hall, built in the 1960s, has largely been made possible thanks to a donation from the Pokagon Fund of two million dollars, which is the largest grant the fund has awarded in its eight year history. The new space will include more room for offices and storage, a larger meeting room, and a vaulted entryway designed to resemble a lighthouse.
