The South Haven Police Department is investigating an armed robbery that occurred on Tuesday.

The department says officers were called to the Shell gas station at 469 Broadway Avenue shortly after 9:40 p.m. and learned two male suspects had entered the store in medical-style masks and gloves. One suspect flashed a handgun while the other emptied the cash register. The two also took tobacco products before fleeing.

The suspects are described as Black males with slender builds. It’s believed their getaway vehicle was a white SUV that was seen slowing on Superior Street as the suspects fled.

Police ask anyone who was in the area of Broadway Avenue, Superior Street, or LaGrange Street around 9:40 to 9:50 p.m. on Tuesday, August 18 to review any surveillance, doorbell-camera, or vehicle-camera footage they may have.

Anyone who finds images of the suspects, the SUV, or anything else suspicious is asked to contact the South Haven Police Department.
