A 15-year-old is dead after a crash between a dirt bike and a truck in Cass County.
The Cass County Sheriff’s Department says the crash happened at the intersection of Hospital Street and Mullen Road in Jefferson Township around 12:30 p.m. on Friday.
The investigation found the juvenile on the dirt bike was southbound on Mullen Road when the dirt bike failed to yield at the intersection and was struck by the eastbound truck.
The driver of the dirt bike was pronounced deceased on the scene.
Alcohol was not a factor in the crash, and the driver of the dirt bike was not wearing a helmet at the time of the crash.
The incident remains under investigation.
