The Culpepper and Merriweather Big Top Circus is coming to Dowagiac for two performances Tuesday, June 20. Hosted by the Dowagiac Chamber of Commerce, the event will feature Big Cats, Aerialists, Horses, Leo the Clown, Daredevils and more.
On the morning of the show, residents can come and watch the big tent get set up at 9:30 a.m., followed by a behind-the-scenes tour of the circus. An hour prior to the performances, guests with tickets can enjoy pony rides, face painting, concessions and more on the midway.
The first 90-minute show will be at 5 p.m. and the second is at 7:30. The circus will take place in the lot on Amerihost Drive near Hale’s True Value Hardware.
Additionally, Skeeter The Clown from the circus will be making appearances the morning of June 12 at Biggby Coffee (8 to 10 a.m.) and Hale’s True Value (10:30 a.m. to noon). Kids are invited to come meet skeeter, and parents can come and get an advance ticket for the show.
Advance tickets are $13 for adults and $8 for children 2-12 years old and those over the age of 65. Tickets also will be on sale at the box office on the day of the show for $16 and $9. Advance tickets can be purchased online at cm-circus.square.site.
