Edward Jay Faust, 62, of Baroda, MI passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday – May 17, 2023. Arrangements have been entrusted to Starks & Menchinger Chapel – 2650 Niles Rd., St. Joseph, MI.
Ed was born on July 30, 1960 in Buchanan, MI to the late William and Rosemary (Newman) Faust.
Ed was a graduate of Lakeshore High School. On June 6, 1987 he married Marion Smith. Ed loved to spend time at the family cabin, hunting, fishing and spotting deer. Most of all, Ed loved his wife and his family. He retired in 2020 from Gast Manufacturing and lovingly took care of his wife Marion right until the end. He was one of a kind and was loved by all who knew him. He will be greatly missed.
Ed is survived by his wife Marion; a brother – Frederick “Fritz” (Lori) Faust of Baroda, MI and sisters – Katherine “Karen” (Daniel) Loney of Warsaw, IN and Michelle (Herbert) Metz of Coloma, MI. He is also survived by a host of nieces and nephews who will fondly remember Ed referring to them as “Big Brute.”
A Celebration of Life Service will take place on Friday – May 26, 1pm, at Starks & Menchinger Chapel. Visitation precedes the service from 12:00-1:00pm at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Lincoln Township Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the donor’s choice.
