Donald G. Kenney of Coloma, Michigan, passed from this earthly life into God’s Kingdom on Wednesday, March 22, 2023 at home. Don was born September 29, 1944 in Covert, Michigan, one of twin sons born to Spencer and Virginia (Burton) Kenney.
Don graduated from Covert High School, served in the US Air Force, farmed with his dad on the family farm in Covert and spent most of his life as a residential alterations contractor in this area. He married Becky Evett Kalafut on September 26, 1980 and they shared 42 happy years of marriage.
He is survived by his wife; Becky, sons; David (Denae) and Wade (Wendy) Kenney, grandchildren; Aiden and Rylie, sons; Mark and Jason Kalafut, mother-in-law; Jewell Daniel, sister-in-law; Marsha in Indiana, one nephew and many cousins in the Grass Lake Area plus many beloved brothers and sisters in Christ at Midway Baptist Church, Watervliet, Michigan.
Don was preceded in death by his parents, his twin brother; Robert and sister; Alma Jean Kenney. Isa. 12:2 “Behold God is my salvation; I will trust and not be afraid, for the Lord God is my strength and my song, and He has become my salvation.”
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at Midway Baptist Church, 7517 Red Arrow Hwy, Watervliet, MI, 49098 on April 15, 2023 at 10:30 A.M. with Pastor Ron Hayes officiating. Cremation has taken place. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Midway Baptist Church Youth Fund.
