Gloria Jean Priest, 91, of Bridgman, formally of Three Oaks, passed away peacefully Tuesday, March 21, 2023 in the comfort of her family’s presence.

Her life began October 31, 1931 in Akron, Ohio, and she was raised by her grandfather, Otis Hardman and his wife, the wonderful Ruby Hardman. In 1950, after high school, she honorably served with the Women’s Army Corps and was a lifelong, proud veteran.

She married, the love of her life, William A. Priest in April 1974.  After thirty-two years of marriage, he preceded her in death June 9, 2006.

Gloria was a proud member of the Randall A. Couchman American Legion Post 204 in Three Oaks and was honored to be the Grand Marshal of the 2022 Flag Day Parade.  She enjoyed her family and meeting her friends every morning for breakfast.  She also enjoyed playing the slots at the local casino, although she always said that she was “just people watching.”  Her sassiness will be greatly missed.

Gloria leaves to mourn her passing and carry on her legacy by family and friends.  She is survived by two daughters, Debra (Roger) Simpson, Belinda (Ray) Marshall; two sons, Phillip (Linda) Marshall, Brian (Angie) Marshall; daughter in law, Casey Marshall; four step-children, Larry (Elaine) Priest,

Sheila Priest, Brenda (Brian) Troxell, Brian (Theresa) Priest; eighteen grandchildren; twenty-five great grandchildren; and two great great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her beloved husband; and three sons, James Marshall, Keith Marshall, Calvin Marshall; two grandsons, Brian Scott Priest, and Zachary Yost.

Family and friends will gather from 3:00 p.m. until time of service at 6:00 p.m. Monday, March 27, 2023 in Wagner Family Funerals Pobocik Chapel, 106 Ash Street East, Three Oaks, where she will be accorded full Military Honors.

Ms. Priest will be laid to rest with her beloved husband in Riverside Cemetery.
