The Van Buren County Road Commission is preparing to get to work on a drain project in Hartford Township that will affect traffic. It says construction is scheduled to begin in March on County Road 687 south of I-94 at the Howlett and Conklin Drain. The road commission and a contractor will be removing the existing box culvert, and installing a new concrete box culvert. During most of the project, traffic will be detoured to Red Arrow Highway, County Road 681, and Territorial Road. There will be signs posted for drivers, and drivers are asked to slow down and take it easy near the construction zone. Everyone can stay up to date on the progress of the work by visiting the Van Buren County Road Commission’s website.
