The Benton Township Police Department is investigating an armed robbery outside the Marathon station at 1691 M-139 Thursday. It says the victim was a 39-year-old Benton Harbor man who was not injured. He told officers he was pumping gas around 9:50 a.m. when two suspects pulled up in a silver or gray Dodge Caravan. They revealed a gun and demanded the man’s belongings. He handed them over and the suspects sped off, heading north on M-139. Officers say the vehicle of the suspects had a broken driver’s side taillight. It also looks like the front driver’s side hub cap was darker than the other three on the vehicle. The suspects are considered armed and dangerous. Anyone with information on the robbery is asked to contact the Benton Township Police Department.
