Mary Ann Ballard, 81, of Coloma, formerly of Leesburg, Fla., passed away Monday, Sept. 20, 2021 at River Ridge Assisted Living in South Haven.

Services celebrating her life will be 2:00 P.M. Friday, Sept. 24 at Duffield & Pastrick Family Funeral Home in Coloma where the family will receive friends beginning on hour prior to the service.  Burial will follow in Coloma Cemetery.  Donations in memory of Mary Ann may be made to the charity of your choice. Mary Ann was born Nov. 6, 1939 in Coloma to Dick and Margaret (Cernich) Schoonover.  She graduated from Watervliet High School in 1957, attended Midway Baptist Church, and was formerly employed by Auto Specialties.  She later owned and operated Big A Auto Parts for 41 years with her husband Sonny in Leesburg, Fla.  Together they loved to travel, covering every state except Hawaii.

Survivors include two sisters; Dorothy (Mike) Davis of Bangor, and Helen Barfell of Sturgis, Mich; three sister-in-laws; Jackie Ballard, Mary (Jerry) Drake, and Carolyn Sue (C.L.) Collins, along with several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents Mary Ann was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Sonny, a brother Tom Schoonover, a sister Minnie Graves, and a brother-in-law Roy Ballard.
