Gerald Edward Kring

Gerald Edward Kring, 69, died Thursday, Sept. 16, 2021, at his home in Berrien Springs.

A graveside service will be at 11 a.m. Friday, Sept. 24, at Rose Hill Cemetery, Berrien Springs, with military honors by the American Legion Stover-Wagner Post 85. Father Leo Cartagena of St. Gabriel Catholic Church will officiate. Messages and memories may be shared online at www.allredfuneralhome.com. Gerald was born June 8, 1952, in Niles, the son of Joseph and Olga Elizabeth (Ross) Kring. He proudly served his country with the U. S. Army. During his lifelong career he worked at Weldun, Hanson Precision, and Bosch Rexroth as a machine repairman, and he retired as a plumber from Fenner Plumbing. There wasn’t anything he couldn’t fix or remodel, and he’d be available at a drop of a hat to help anyone out. He was adventurous, loved to travel, scuba dive, skydive and loved his Harley Davidson. Gerald was a member of the American Legion Post 85, and a former member of the Moose Lodge.

Surviving are his wife, Diane (Salas) Kring; son, Jeremy (Alicia) Kring; daughter, Erika (James) Renz; four grandchildren: Evan and Kellan Kring and Eli and Liam Renz; and two brothers, Joseph (Alice) Kring and Jim Kring.
