Darryl Edward Bloomer

Darryl Edward Bloomer formerly of Benton Harbor, MI transitioned on September 7, 2021, at 9:39 p.m. at Piedmont East Side Hospital, Snellville, GA surrounded by his loving family.

Darryl’s life journey began on May 26, 1967, in Benton Harbor, MI when he was born to the union of General Lee Bloomer and Bernice (Sims) Bloomer.

When he was younger, he was baptized at Second Baptist Church, under the leadership of Rev. Dr. Donald B. Adkins. Darryl enjoyed being a Junior Usher and participating in other youth activities at Second Baptist Church. In the community, he played baseball on a Little League Team.

Darryl had lasting friendships from The Boys, where they affectionately called him Pink Floyd and the Harbor Street Dancers, a break-dancing group that won many contests in Michigan and Illinois.
He was employed at Cardinal Health, in Georgia for the past eleven years. Darryl was a loving person who would always help his family.

He leaves to cherish his memory, mother Bernice Bloomer and sister Sonya Bloomer both of Benton Harbor, MI; children Chelsea Harmon and Jazmin Bloomer; grandson Aiden Jenkins; fiancé Dawn Lusk and her sons Laron and Kelvin all of Loganville, GA; Grandmother Jerri (Rev. Kenneth) Gavin; nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father General Lee Bloomer, brother Michael Bloomer, paternal grandparents Iola Jordan and Charles Bloomer, maternal grandparents Archie Sims and Cornelia Sims.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Robbins Brothers Funeral Home, Benton Harbor.
