Beverly was born Sept. 27, 1938, in Benton Harbor, the daughter of Frank and Frances (Ruff) Adcock. She married the love of her life, Loren Burkett, on Feb. 10, 1957, and they were married for 57 years. They had three children: Jean Long of Dowagiac, Cynthia Burkett of Niles, and Loren J. (Michelle) Burkett Jr. of Benton Harbor. She had five grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild (making five generations just before her passing). Two sisters, Joyce (Zan) Ballard and Gloria (Roger) Reeves, and a brother, Bill (Linda) Adcock, also survive.

She loved games, cards, croquet, and bowling at Blossom Lanes. She loved going to Baldwin to the cabin, snowmobiling and fishing. She worked at Muir’s Drug Store, Zenith, and Rite Aid, and she was a very dedicated worker.

She always had a smile on her face. She was a very devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother. She was a stay-at-home mom until the kids went to school. Then she was a homeroom mother at the schools–all of the kids loved her. She was a Girl Scout leader and a den leader for Boy Scouts. She volunteered at Watervliet High School games concession stand before her sickness.

Beverly will be greatly missed by her large family of nieces, nephews, and cousins, and lots of friends.
